RoundWinner Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Racketlab LLC (doing business as "RoundWinner") ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the RoundWinner mobile application and the website at PlayRoundWinner.com (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account information. When you sign in via Apple Sign-In, we receive a unique Apple identifier (
apple_sub) for your account, your email address (if you choose to share it; Apple may also provide a private relay email), and a display name that you choose. - Tournament activity. Tournaments you join, picks you submit, and scores you accumulate.
- Prize information. If you win a prize, we collect your shipping address, full legal name, and (where required by IRS rules) your Tax Identification Number on Form W-9.
- Communications. Any messages you send us at our support email.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and request metadata. When the app communicates with our backend, our servers receive standard request metadata, including your IP address, the timestamp of the request, the endpoint accessed, and basic client information transmitted by your device (such as app version, iOS version, device model, language, and time zone). This information is used for security, debugging, and to operate the Service.
- Server logs. Retained for security and debugging for up to ninety (90) days (see Section 4).
- Product-usage analytics. We use Google's Firebase Analytics SDK to record anonymous, aggregated product-usage events — such as screen views (for example, "tournaments_list", "profile", "sign_in") and tap events (for example, "claim_prize_tap", "sign_out") — together with standard Firebase device metadata (a Firebase-generated anonymous app instance ID, app version, iOS version, device model, country, and language). We use these events to understand which features are used and to improve the Service. We do not pass your Apple identifier, display name, email address, or shipping address to Firebase Analytics, and we do not use Firebase Analytics for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking. For more information about how Google handles Firebase data, see firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
- Crash reports. Anonymous crash data via Apple's crash reporting, if you have enabled sharing of analytics with app developers in your iOS Settings.
1.3 Information from third parties
- Apple. Identity information returned by Sign in with Apple.
- ESPN. Tennis match, player, and result data — this is not your personal information.
We do not collect: precise location data, contacts, photos, microphone audio, biometric information, health data, or financial account information.
2. How we use information
- To operate and improve the Service (process picks, calculate scores, render leaderboards).
- To authenticate you and protect your account.
- To deliver prizes (shipping merchandise, complying with tax reporting).
- To communicate with you about the Service, prize notifications, and material changes.
- To investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service or Official Rules.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for behavioral advertising. We do not share your information with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
3. How we share information
We share personal information only:
- With service providers that operate our infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform (hosting, database, prize-claim form intake via Google Forms / Google Sheets, and Firebase Analytics for anonymous product-usage measurement) and Apple (authentication and app distribution). These providers are bound by contract to protect your information.
- With shipping carriers if you win a merchandise prize and we need to ship it.
- With tax authorities as required by IRS reporting rules (Form 1099-MISC for prizes ≥ US $600/year).
- With other users in a limited way: your display name and score are visible on tournament leaderboards.
- As required by law in response to valid legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
- In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, sale of assets), with notice to you.
4. Data retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal data within thirty (30) days, except records we are required to retain by law (e.g., tax records for prize winners — kept for the period required by the IRS, generally seven years).
- Server logs are retained for up to ninety (90) days.
- Tournament participation history for past tournaments may be retained in aggregate or de-identified form for product analytics.
5. Your choices and rights
5.1 Account deletion
You can delete your account from the Profile tab in the app, or by emailing hello@playroundwinner.com. Deletion removes your account, picks, and leaderboard entries. Some records may be retained as described in Section 4.
5.2 Email
You can opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. We will still send you transactional and prize-related emails as needed to operate the Service.
5.3 California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas (and other state-law) rights
If you are a resident of a US state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you.
- Access a copy of that information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information (subject to legal exceptions).
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share for those purposes.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by these laws.
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@playroundwinner.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within forty-five (45) days, or as otherwise required by law.
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
6. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it. Contact hello@playroundwinner.com if you believe we have collected information from a child under 13.
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage at rest in Google Cloud SQL, and access controls. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International users
The Service is intended for users in the United States. If you access it from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance.
